The Terriers wrapped up the league title with 2 games to spare as they came from behind to seal the win against Strike Force.
The Terriers to be fair played well below their usual standard in the first half, but still managed to take the lead courtesy of a thunderbolt of a shot from Esi Hedayat, his first goal for the club.
Strike Force hit back with 2 goals to reverse the scoreline. Matt Jones was unlucky to turn a cross into his own net, and minutes later the Strike Force attackers again found the net with a close range effort.
It was no more than the opposition deserved as they made a mockery of their low league position by taking the game to the unbeaten Terriers.
With half time quickly approaching, Alin Pascu converted the equaliser with a typical poachers finish, before Mundula's mazy run confounded the Strike Force defenders as he slotted home to give the Terriers an undeserved half time lead.
The Terriers came out for the second half looking like a different team, with one hand on the Championship medals it was no time for the lads to lose their concentration.
Mundula scored his second of the night to put the Terriers firmly in the drivers seat. This goal was his seventh of the season. Not bad for a player who started the season as a goalkeeper.
Alin Pascu scored the fifth, and what a goal it was. One touch, a glance at the net, and a rocket of a shot into the top corner.
Job done for the Terriers and the celebrations could begin as they were crowned league champions.
Pascu and Mundula both were exceptional, with Mundula getting the nod for man of the match. Kudos also to Esi Hedayat who had his best game for the club so far, marked with an impressive goal.
TEAM LINEUP : Bright, Coull, Mark Jones, Kuang, Matt Jones, D Jones, Murphy, Mundula, More (Capt), Mills, C Hughes, Browning, Hedayat, Pascu.

What a game, full of spirit and effort from The Terriers. The game started at a crazy pace with Sturgeon having the better of the possession. With two minutes gone The Terriers found themselves 1 goal down. Quick passing by Sturgeon and they pulled The Terriers defense apart. No sooner had the game restarted and The Terriers were down by 2 and completely flabbergasted.
Sturgeon were showing why they were 2nd in the league as they were killing The Terriers and beating them to every lose ball. Every challenge was going Sturgeons way and The Terriers could not get out of 2nd gear. If not for Bright in goal it would have been 3, maybe 4 nil soon after.
However, with 5 minutes to go Danny Jones picked up the ball in his own half, beat one player at half way and played a one, two with the boards before firing home a low hard shot to make it 2-1.
The drama was just beginning in this game as in quick succession Ray More and Jeremy Browning were both given penalties and The Terriers were 2 men down. They held on for a minute before Sturgeon went 3-1 up. Half time and 3-1 down and to be honest The Terriers were easily the 2nd best team in the game.
The second half started exactly the same with The Terriers on the back foot. A change in fortune changed the game completely and on a power play, Richard Cubitt scored a free kick to make it 3-2 and 6 in 6 games for himself. Then came the equalizer, Alin pascu worked tirelessly hard in the box and put away a fine finish.
The Terriers were gradually taking control, but once again Sturgeon took the lead. Some bad decision making in The Terriers half saw the Sturgeon striker score a lovely goal into the top corner. 6 minutes to go and 4-3 down. The Terriers were still on top and did get back on level terms. A free kick from the blue line saw Matt Jones opt to side foot a free kick as opposed to his usual power shot and it curled into the bottom corner for his 1st of the season. With 4 minutes remaining Jeremy Browning broke clear and the Sturgeon defender had no choice to take him out as a last ditch effort to save a goal. The defender was given a straight red card and The Terriers saw out the game one man up. With a minute remaining Bradley Mills, who has been phenomenal this season wound up to score the winner. A great side foot finish into the bottom corner. Cue Bradley’s commando roll celebration!!!
The game ended in victory for The Terriers.
Not their best performance but a championship team should win when still playing bad. Man of the Match went to Matt Jones who was fantastic in defense and scored an important goal.
